Responsibility
- Lead the development of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that align with company goals and market demands.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of new packaging designs into the production process.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new packaging solutions.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate the performance, durability, and sustainability of packaging materials.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality, cost-effective materials that meet our sustainability criteria.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product development, including cost savings, time-to-market, and quality metrics.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, packaging design, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Proven track record of developing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions in the retail or consumer products industry.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance standards.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Lean.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CAD software, packaging design tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
