Fresh On Time is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bali. This role focuses on sourcing high-quality raw seafood materials to meet our production demands while building strong supplier relationships across Indonesia, including off-island locations.
As a key member of our supply chain, you will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of fresh seafood, negotiate with vendors, and maintain inventory levels to support our manufacturing and logistics operations. Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, vendors, and fishermen for raw seafood materials.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure consistent quality and supply.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing options.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate off-island shipments and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the seafood, food manufacturing, or FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for off-island supplier visits and negotiations.
- Fluent in English and Indonesian; additional local dialects are advantageous.
