Responsibility
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Track and monitor the status of purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain and update records of purchase requests, purchase orders, and vendor communications for audit and reference purposes.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
- Evaluate vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide updates on order statuses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and basic financial principles is a plus.
