Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw materials and packaging.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality local and international suppliers to optimize the vendor base.
- Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, credit terms, and service level agreements.
- Monitor global and local market trends to anticipate price fluctuations and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all purchased materials comply with strict food safety and regulatory standards.
- Analyze procurement data and KPIs to provide comprehensive reports and actionable insights to senior management.
- Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring all activities align with internal financial controls and audit requirements.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the procurement team to drive departmental excellence and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in procurement, specifically within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record in successful high-stakes negotiation and strategic sourcing.
- Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- In-depth understanding of Philippines market dynamics, importation processes, and business ethics.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
