Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet company procurement needs while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers (particularly Mandarin-speaking vendors) to secure the best commercial advantages.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct market research, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, resolving disputes, and maintaining high service standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, and logistics) to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement budgets, providing regular reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and local/international procurement regulations.
- Leverage Mandarin language skills to facilitate communication with suppliers, translate documents, and bridge cultural gaps in business negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in English is also required.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
