Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for engineering projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a robust supplier network.
- Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in sourcing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Manage supplier relationships, resolve disputes, and address any procurement-related issues promptly.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus but not required.
