Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to source engineering materials, equipment, and services at optimal costs.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a robust supplier database.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports, including spend analysis, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Manage supplier relationships, resolve disputes, and foster long-term partnerships to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
- Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven procurement decisions.
- Knowledge of contract law, vendor management, and industry-specific procurement regulations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are a plus.
