Responsibility
- Assist the Procurement Manager in daily purchasing operations and strategic sourcing planning.
- Execute procurement orders while ensuring quality compliance and adherence to lead times.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance through regular audits and KPI reporting.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and contract terms to optimize operational costs.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse departments to manage inventory levels effectively.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement documentation and vendor database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong command of English, Malay, and Mandarin (for effective communication with suppliers).
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Willingness to work in the Port Klang area.
