As a Process Safety Engineer, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process safety management systems. Your expertise will drive proactive hazard identification, risk assessment, and the enforcement of industry best practices to safeguard our workforce, assets, and the environment. Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems in compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, Risk Assessments (RA), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate process safety risks.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and audit process safety performance metrics, ensuring adherence to KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety protocols into operational workflows and engineering designs.
- Provide training and awareness programs on process safety, emergency response, and hazard control for employees and contractors.
- Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety manuals, and technical documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Safety Engineering, preferably in waste management, chemical, or heavy industries.
- Certification in Process Safety Management (PSM), NEBOSH, or OSHA 30 is highly advantageous.
- Proven expertise in conducting HAZOP, LOPA, and QRA studies using industry-standard software (e.g., PHA-Pro, Safeti).
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and safety-first mindset.
