Responsibility
- Develop and optimize process integration flows for silicon photonics (SiPh) and photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
- Collaborate with design, fabrication, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of photonic components.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict and enhance device performance.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues to improve yield and reliability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in photonics and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Document and present technical findings to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Support the transition of prototypes to high-volume manufacturing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process integration for silicon photonics or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of photonic device physics, optical waveguides, and integrated optics.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, or similar).
- Experience with cleanroom fabrication techniques and semiconductor process equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in photonics and semiconductor manufacturing.
