Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize alumina refining processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze process performance using data-driven methodologies to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, maintenance, HSE) to implement process enhancements and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead or support capital projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning, to expand or upgrade refinery capabilities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational downtime.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff on best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within the mining, metals, or alumina refining industry.
- Proven expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Strong knowledge of refinery operations, including digestion, precipitation, and calcination processes.
- Familiarity with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Indonesian is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali or commute as required.
