As a Process Engineer at Knowles Electronics, you will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to our production lines. Responsibility

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures.
  • Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis (e.g., SPC, DOE) to ensure process stability and control.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure seamless new product introduction (NPI) and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitor process performance metrics, report on key indicators, and recommend strategic improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics or semiconductor industry.
  • Proven track record of process optimization and implementation of continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma certification a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
