Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality, personalized tuition in English, Math, Science, or Chinese to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs, ensuring engagement and academic progress.
- Conduct both 1-on-1 and small-group sessions (3–8 students) in online and onsite formats.
- Assess student performance through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum development and teaching methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Stay updated with educational trends and best practices to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent teaching certification).
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English, Math, Science, or Chinese at primary, secondary, or advanced levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to create structured yet flexible lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online teaching (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in Chinese is a plus for Chinese language tutors.
- Previous experience in international or bilingual education settings is advantageous.
