Join MediaCorp as a Principal/Senior Network Engineer and take the lead in managing and optimizing 1-Net’s IT Services, including Cloud Services, Managed Services, Data Center (DC) Services, and Business Solutions. This is a critical operations-focused role where you will ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our network infrastructure to support MediaCorp’s digital transformation and service excellence.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of L2/L3 network architectures for Cloud, Managed, and Data Center Services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance issues to ensure 99.9% uptime and SLA compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Cloud) to integrate network solutions with business applications.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and runbooks for operational efficiency.
- Implement automation scripts (Python, Ansible) to streamline network provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth and new service offerings.
- Ensure network security best practices (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs) are applied to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in L2/L3 network engineering, with a focus on operations and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei routers/switches, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Proven experience in Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix) and packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python) for network provisioning and management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
