Responsibility
- Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IATF, JEDEC).
- Oversee quality control processes across the product lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to assembly and post-market surveillance.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify and mitigate quality risks, defects, and non-conformities.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement in product and process quality.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, SOPs, and compliance reports for internal and external audits.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics (e.g., yield rates, defect rates, customer returns) to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior QA engineers and cross-functional teams on best practices in quality assurance.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in semiconductor quality assurance to ensure Renesas remains at the forefront of industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (e.g., Principal, Lead, or Senior QA Engineer).
- Proven expertise in semiconductor or electronics quality assurance, including familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, JEDEC).
- Strong background in root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMEA), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and tools such as Minitab, JMP, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Japanese, Mandarin) are a plus.
