Join Singapore Telecommunications as a Testing & Commissioning Manager (Data Centre) and lead the critical infrastructure commissioning for state-of-the-art data centre facilities in Bali, Indonesia. Responsibility
- Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for data centre critical infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, test procedures, and checklists in alignment with project specifications and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant system installations and validations.
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated system testing (IST) to verify performance and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate risks during commissioning, providing root-cause analysis and corrective action plans for deviations.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, NEC, NFPA) throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
- Prepare and present commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and handover packages for stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on commissioning methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Data Centre Operations, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, PMP) are a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data centre commissioning, critical infrastructure testing, or facilities management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end commissioning projects for Tier III/IV data centres or similar high-availability environments.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH units, BMS, and fire suppression systems.
- Familiarity with commissioning software tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or custom test platforms) and industry standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute).
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills to liaise with global teams and clients.
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally for project assignments (up to 30%).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
