In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with international standards while optimizing performance and reliability. Responsibility
- Lead the design, specification, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for marine, offshore, or industrial projects.
- Develop and review P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives to ensure system integrity and compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, API).
- Oversee HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and safety instrumented systems (SIS) to mitigate operational risks.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams to integrate instrumentation solutions seamlessly.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including procurement, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Ensure project deliverables meet budget, timeline, and quality requirements while adhering to client specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in automation, IoT, and digital twin applications for instrumentation systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; chartered engineer status is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (marine/offshore preferred).
- Proven expertise in DCS, PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation (e.g., transmitters, valves, analyzers).
- Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC 61511, ISO 9001, API RP 551) and classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV).
- Experience with FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases of EPC projects.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, E3D) and simulation software.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (work permit support provided).
