Responsibility

  • Lead the technical oversight of Airbus fleet avionics and systems for Singapore Airlines/Scoot, ensuring compliance with EASA, FAA, and local regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance aircraft reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve complex avionics and systems issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including software updates, hardware upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership in root-cause analysis (RCA) for system failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
  • Represent Airbus in stakeholder meetings with airlines, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to align on technical requirements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging aviation technologies (e.g., fly-by-wire, ADS-B, avionics cybersecurity) and assess their applicability to fleet operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Principal Engineer, Systems Architect).
  • Deep expertise in Airbus aircraft systems (A320, A330, A350 families) and familiarity with ARINC 429, AFDX, or CAN bus protocols.
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting, testing, and certifying avionics components and software.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA Part-21, FAA Part 25) and maintenance practices (MSP, AMP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in other languages (e.g., Indonesian, French) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site inspections, training, or stakeholder engagements.
