Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end development of semiconductor manufacturing processes, from concept to mass production, ensuring alignment with quality and performance standards.
- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance yield, reduce defects, and improve cost efficiency across production lines.
- Oversee qualification and validation of new processes, tools, and materials, ensuring compliance with industry and internal specifications.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and quality teams to troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in semiconductor manufacturing and recommend innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
- Represent Infineon in cross-site and global initiatives, sharing best practices and driving standardization across facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Principal Engineer, Process Engineering Manager).
- Deep expertise in process development, characterization, and qualification for front-end or back-end semiconductor operations.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements that enhance yield, reliability, or cost efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), DOE (Design of Experiments), and failure analysis techniques.
- Experience with equipment and tool qualification, including working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in other languages is a plus.
