Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Power and Automation systems for industrial, commercial, or maritime applications.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with Class Society regulations, technical specifications, and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, SOLAS).
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, software, and project engineers) to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and failure mode analyses for critical electrical components.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
- Review and approve schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system architectures for accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in power distribution, automation, and smart grid solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Principal/Senior Engineer).
- Proven expertise in Power Systems, Automation, PLC, SCADA, and Marine Electrical Systems (preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international electrical codes (IEC, NEC, ABS, DNV, Lloydâs Register).
- Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar) and simulation software.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
