Join Oracle as a Principal Data Center Facilities Development Manager and lead the end-to-end construction of world-class data centers in collaboration with top-tier colocation providers. In this strategic role, you will oversee large-scale projects from site selection and design to commissioning, working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Your expertise in data center construction, project management, and facilities engineering will drive operational excellence and support Oracle’s global expansion in the APAC region.
Based in one of Bali’s dynamic hubs—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung—you’ll enjoy a vibrant work environment while contributing to mission-critical infrastructure that powers Oracle Cloud services worldwide.
Responsibility
- Project Leadership: Direct the full lifecycle of data center construction projects, from feasibility studies to handover, ensuring alignment with Oracle’s technical and business objectives.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Negotiate contracts, manage relationships with colocation providers, contractors, and local authorities to secure permits and approvals.
- Budget & Timeline Oversight: Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Design & Compliance: Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure facilities meet Oracle’s standards for power, cooling, security, and sustainability (e.g., LEED, Tier IV).
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous QA/QC processes to validate construction quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, procurement) to resolve technical challenges and optimize facility performance.
- Innovation & Scalability: Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., modular designs, renewable energy) to enhance efficiency and future-proof infrastructure.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide executive-level updates on project status, milestones, and ROI to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in data center construction, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data center design principles (power distribution, cooling systems, redundancy, UPS, generators) and industry standards (ASHRAE, TIA-942).
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing $50M+ projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes, environmental regulations, and permit processes in Indonesia/APAC.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills to align diverse stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 20-30% to project sites across APAC as needed.
- Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
