Responsibility
- Operate prime movers safely to transport containers between port terminals and various delivery points.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Adhere strictly to PSA port regulations and safety guidelines at all times.
- Ensure accurate documentation and proper handling of all cargo manifests.
- Maintain clear communication with the operations dispatch team regarding job status and potential delays.
- Report any mechanical issues or road incidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Ensure cargo security and monitor container seals during transit.
- Maintain high levels of productivity to meet daily delivery targets and operational KPIs.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 or Class 5 driving license.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience driving heavy vehicles in a port or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with PSA port procedures and terminal operations is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Singapore road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of heavy vehicle operations.
- Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
- Dependable, punctual, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to read and communicate instructions clearly.
