Responsibility
- Develop and implement pricing models for reinsurance products, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk management teams to assess and mitigate risks.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and regulatory changes to inform pricing strategies.
- Support product development initiatives by providing actuarial insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and present pricing reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct profitability analyses and scenario testing to optimize pricing strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Qualified or near-qualified actuary with relevant professional certifications (e.g., FSA, ASA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, underwriting, or actuarial roles within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in actuarial software and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and financial forecasting.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the reinsurance sector.
