Responsibility
- Develop precise 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) for manufacturing components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to interpret design specifications and ensure accuracy in all drafts.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to meet industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI) and project requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and part lists for production and procurement.
- Perform dimensional and tolerance checks to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality control standards.
- Archive and organize technical drawings and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD tools, techniques, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting design issues during the prototyping and production phases.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Drafter or CAD Technician in manufacturing, preferably in precision engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent) with a strong portfolio of technical drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex specifications and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with CAM software or CNC programming is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
