Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of pool areas, including decks, lounge chairs, and surrounding facilities.
- Conduct regular water quality tests (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) and adjust chemical levels as needed to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Inspect pool equipment (filters, pumps, heaters) and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the engineering team.
- Assist guests with pool-related inquiries, provide towels, and ensure a welcoming and safe environment.
- Enforce pool safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming, and backwashing filters.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to maintain a tidy and organized poolside area.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in pool maintenance or hospitality is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols rigorously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
- Certification in pool operation or lifeguarding (e.g., CPR/First Aid) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with resort or hotel operations is a strong asset.
