Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental compliance programs in accordance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential pollution risks and ensure adherence to environmental standards.
- Evaluate and approve the use of chemicals, ensuring they meet safety and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams to integrate pollution prevention strategies into daily operations.
- Prepare and submit accurate environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies.
- Investigate environmental incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Train employees on environmental best practices, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental laws, technologies, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance, pollution control, or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, local Indonesian environmental laws).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in environmental management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications such as Certified Environmental Specialist (CES) or similar are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
