Responsibility
- Operate and maintain plasma spray coating equipment to apply thermal coatings on aerospace components.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure coating quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform pre- and post-coating inspections to verify surface preparation and coating integrity.
- Maintain detailed records of coating processes, including parameters, materials used, and quality control results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plasma spray equipment and coating defects.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize coating processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on advancements in plasma coating technology.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Plasma Technician or in a similar role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with thermal spray coating techniques, particularly plasma spray systems.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and surface treatment processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
