Responsibility
- Assist in the coordination of material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at project sites.
- Monitor and update inventory records using digital tools to track stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Prepare and verify documentation, including delivery receipts, invoices, and material requisition forms.
- Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Liaise with suppliers, warehouse staff, and project managers to resolve material-related issues.
- Support the procurement team in sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain organized storage systems to optimize space and ensure easy retrieval of materials.
- Generate reports on material usage, wastage, and inventory turnover for management review.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in materials management, inventory control, or logistics support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and vendors.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and their handling requirements.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with occasional travel to project sites.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
