Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for construction planning? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Engineer/Planning Manager to join our dynamic team in Bali. This role is pivotal in shaping the success of both tender and project execution phases, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and timely delivery of high-impact construction projects.
Based in the vibrant regions of Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project schedules, optimize resource allocation, and mitigate risks. Your expertise will drive project milestones, enhance operational workflows, and contribute to the growth of our construction portfolio in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets.
This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $3,800 – $5,300 per month, commensurate with experience. Responsibility
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) for tender submissions and execution phases.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align timelines, budgets, and resources with project goals.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential delays, proposing proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Optimize resource allocation (labor, equipment, materials) to maximize efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Monitor and update risk registers, implementing contingency plans to address project uncertainties.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations in all planning activities.
- Lead post-project reviews to analyze performance, document lessons learned, and refine planning methodologies for future projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planning engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role for senior candidates.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract types (e.g., EPC, lump sum), and tender processes.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to create accurate project plans.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to liaise with multicultural teams and clients.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CCP are highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bali’s construction landscape and local regulations is a significant plus.
