Responsibility
- Develop and execute material planning strategies to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to align material requirements with production schedules.
- Analyze demand forecasts and adjust procurement plans to meet changing business needs.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery timelines.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory transactions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) principles is a plus.
