Responsibility
- Develop comprehensive Material Take Off (MTO) lists for piping systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, and supports.
- Create detailed Bill of Quantities (BQ) documentation with accurate measurements and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure material lists align with design requirements and project timelines.
- Review and validate technical drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and isometric drawings for accuracy.
- Optimize material usage to reduce waste and control project costs without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials based on MTO outputs.
- Conduct site visits (when required) to verify as-built conditions and adjust MTOs accordingly.
- Maintain organized records of all calculations, revisions, and communications related to material requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in MTO development, piping design, or material estimation for industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS, or other piping design software is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of piping standards (ASME, ASTM, API) and material specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Familiarity with BQ preparation and cost estimation processes.
- Good communication skills in English and Indonesian to liaise with international and local teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
