Responsibility
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and biomass facilities, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement O&M strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and lead a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize energy output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of O&M activities with overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present regular reports on O&M activities, performance metrics, and budget utilization to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of renewable energy assets, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind turbines, and biomass plants.
- Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, predictive maintenance tools, and performance monitoring software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) or renewable energy (e.g., NABCEP) are highly desirable.
