Join YTL PowerSeraya, a leading energy solutions provider, as an Operations Engineer specializing in Gas Plant and Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) Operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our state-of-the-art power generation facilities in Bali.
As an Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high availability, reliability, and performance of our CCPP and auxiliary systems while adhering to strict safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to energy stability, operational excellence, and sustainability in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic energy markets.

Responsibility
- Monitor and control CCPP and gas plant operations to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment, turbines, boilers, and auxiliary systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, and Indonesian energy regulations).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute shutdowns, startups, and emergency response procedures.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed logs, reports, and documentation for regulatory audits and internal reviews.
- Train and supervise junior operators and technicians on best practices in plant operations and safety protocols.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in power plant operations, gas turbines, or CCPP systems.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, control systems, and power generation processes.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.
- Proficiency in DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SCADA, and plant automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shift rotations, including nights and weekends, in a high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with Indonesian energy regulations and environmental compliance is advantageous.
