As the Person in Charge (PIC) of Transport, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating end-to-end shipment processes, liaising with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of J&T Cargo’s presence in Indonesia’s dynamic logistics landscape.

Responsibility
- Oversee and manage daily air and ocean import shipment operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipment statuses, track delays, and proactively resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards in all transport activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport operations, with a focus on import shipments.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international shipping standards.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and other trade compliance requirements is a plus.
