Responsibility
- Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive physical education curriculum for students of all ages, ensuring alignment with international standards and local cultural values.
- Coordinate and oversee sports programs, extracurricular activities, and interschool competitions, including logistics, scheduling, and student participation.
- Lead and supervise PE classes, sports training sessions, and fitness activities, fostering a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to integrate health and wellness initiatives into the broader school community.
- Manage sports equipment, facilities, and budgets, ensuring resources are maintained, inventoried, and utilized efficiently.
- Organize and promote school-wide events such as sports days, tournaments, and fitness challenges to encourage student engagement and school spirit.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to students, helping them develop teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship skills both on and off the field.
- Stay updated on best practices in physical education, sports science, and child development, incorporating innovative teaching methods into your programs.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching physical education or coaching sports in a school or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of sports rules, techniques, and safety protocols for a variety of activities (e.g., soccer, basketball, swimming, athletics, yoga).
- Experience coordinating sports programs, events, or extracurricular activities, with demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it).
- Passion for promoting health, wellness, and lifelong fitness in young learners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with flexibility and adaptability.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
