Responsibility
- Assist the lead PE teacher in planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support the setup and breakdown of sports equipment, ensuring a safe and organized environment for all activities.
- Encourage student participation, providing individualized attention to help students of all skill levels improve their physical abilities.
- Monitor and supervise students during classes, games, and extracurricular sports events to ensure safety and adherence to rules.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students.
- Assist in assessing student progress and providing feedback to the lead teacher for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with staff to organize school sports days, tournaments, and community fitness initiatives.
- Model healthy lifestyle habits and serve as a mentor to students, encouraging discipline and enthusiasm for physical activity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience working with children or in a school/educational setting, preferably in a PE or sports coaching role.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) to ensure student safety during physical activities.
- Passion for fitness, sports, and youth development with a commitment to fostering a love for movement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous but not required.
