Responsibility
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from patients of all ages with high precision and care.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and meticulous labeling of all specimens to maintain laboratory integrity.
- Manage laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper inventory levels.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed during the collection process.
- Accurately document and enter patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality results.
Qualifications
- Relevant certification in Phlebotomy or a Diploma in Biomedical Science, Nursing, or related healthcare disciplines.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle patients with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and EMR software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing clinical team.
- Flexibility to work shift hours as required by clinical operations.
