Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Biomedical Engineering department to ensure optimal equipment availability.
- Implement and monitor a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all life-saving and diagnostic medical equipment.
- Manage technical staff performance, providing mentorship and training on the latest medical device technologies.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements and international hospital safety standards (JCI/ISO).
- Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex equipment failures to minimize downtime.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective equipment lifecycle management.
- Maintain accurate inventory and digital logs of all medical assets and maintenance service records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PRC license preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in biomedical maintenance, preferably within a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of hospital medical equipment, including imaging systems, patient monitors, and life support devices.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to manage a technical team effectively.
- Proficiency in medical equipment management software (CMMS) and MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental collaboration.
