Responsibility
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including answering inquiries, offering product recommendations, and resolving concerns.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process and maintain patient records with confidentiality and precision using pharmacy software.
- Handle cash transactions and insurance claims with accuracy and professionalism.
- Assist in promoting health and wellness by educating customers on over-the-counter products and basic healthcare practices.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and improve service efficiency.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; certification in pharmacy assistance is a plus.
- Proven experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical products, and inventory management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and pharmacy software (training provided).
