Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for patients across various age groups, with a focus on adult rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ needs, including those recovering from strokes, neurological disorders, or injuries.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions in community hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or home-based settings.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and psychologists to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, swallowing techniques, and adaptive tools.
- Document patient progress accurately and adjust therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Stay updated on evidence-based practices in speech therapy and apply them in clinical settings.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about speech and language disorders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or certification as a Speech Therapist (e.g., ASHA certification or equivalent).
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in adult rehabilitation, community health, or hospital settings.
- Proven expertise in assessing and treating dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with standardized assessment tools (e.g., BDAE, WAB, FEES) and therapy techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English (additional knowledge of Indonesian/Bahasa is a plus).
