Responsibility
- Assist the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering inquiries regarding non-prescription items.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Process payments and handle cashiering duties efficiently.
- Verify patient information and maintain confidentiality in line with data privacy regulations.
- Monitor medication expiry dates and perform stock rotation to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Services NC II certification is a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy or customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle administrative tasks accurately.
- Willingness to work in a shifting schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terms and computer literacy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
