As a Perfusionist, you will operate and maintain sophisticated heart-lung machines and blood analysis equipment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibility
- Operate and maintain heart-lung machines and related equipment during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.
- Monitor and manage patient blood flow, oxygenation, and temperature during surgeries.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare perfusion equipment for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless integration of perfusion services.
- Perform blood gas analysis and other laboratory tests to assess patient status.
- Maintain accurate records of perfusion procedures and patient data.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Provide training and support to junior staff and medical students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Perfusion Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.
- Strong knowledge of perfusion equipment and techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
