In this role, you will lead performance engineering initiatives, design and execute load, stress, and endurance tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. Your expertise in automation, monitoring, and performance tuning will be critical in delivering high-performance applications that meet business and user expectations.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and execution of performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios for enterprise applications.
- Conduct load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to analyze test results and recommend optimizations.
- Automate performance testing processes using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Locust.
- Monitor and analyze application performance metrics (response time, throughput, CPU/memory usage) and provide actionable insights.
- Define and enforce performance SLAs and KPIs for critical applications.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and foster a performance-first culture within the team.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in performance engineering and introduce best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in performance testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, etc.) and monitoring tools (New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or Groovy for test automation.
- Deep understanding of system architecture, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into deployment workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications in performance testing (e.g., HP LoadRunner, ISTQB Performance Tester) are a plus.
