Responsibility
- Perform PCBA soldering using industry-standard techniques (through-hole, SMD, rework) to meet precision and quality requirements.
- Conduct functional testing and debugging of PCBAs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective PCBAs by identifying root causes (e.g., component failure, solder joints, trace issues).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze test failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, rework activities, and quality control metrics.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols and adhere to IPC-A-610 standards for electronics assembly.
- Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and minimize production downtime.
Qualifications
- Diploma or vocational training in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in PCBA soldering, rework, and debugging in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using soldering irons, hot air stations, and ESD-safe tools.
- Familiarity with functional test methods (e.g., in-circuit testing, boundary scan, flying probe).
- Strong understanding of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors) and schematic reading.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for defect identification.
- Certification in IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) is a plus.
