Responsibility
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing details accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery
- Maintain and update patient records with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as needed
- Assist in the preparation of daily reports, including patient visits, no-shows, and other operational metrics
- Ensure the front desk area is well-organized, stocked with necessary supplies, and adheres to clinic standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures is an advantage
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the clinic
