Responsibility
- Perform and interpret electroencephalograms (EEGs), evoked potentials, and other neurodiagnostic tests with precision and accuracy.
- Assist in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during neurosurgical procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Operate and maintain advanced neurodiagnostic equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with neurologists and neurosurgeons to analyze test results and provide clinical recommendations.
- Support the development and implementation of new neurodiagnostic technologies and methodologies.
- Educate patients and families on neurodiagnostic procedures, ensuring clear communication and comfort.
- Maintain meticulous records of neurodiagnostic studies in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance neurodiagnostic services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology, Neuroscience, or a related field (or equivalent certification).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Neuro Technologist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification in EEG, IONM, or other neurodiagnostic specialties (e.g., ABRET, CNIM) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and neurodiagnostic techniques.
- Proficiency in operating EEG machines, EMG equipment, and IONM systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, JCI) is a plus.
