Responsibility
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and cosmetic treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and place orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and clinic hygiene protocols.
- Provide chairside support to dentists by handing instruments, operating suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting (fresh graduates with strong training may be considered).
- Proficiency in dental software for patient records and scheduling (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, dental terminology, and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a calm demeanor.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, email correspondence, and digital record-keeping.
- Valid certification in radiography (if applicable) and CPR/First Aid.
