As a Patent Attorney, you'll leverage your technical and legal expertise to draft, prosecute, and manage patent portfolios. Responsibility
- Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications in Singapore and internationally.
- Provide strategic IP advice to clients, including patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate opinions.
- Conduct patent searches and analyze prior art to support patent filings and litigation.
- Manage and grow client patent portfolios, ensuring compliance with local and international IP laws.
- Collaborate with inventors and R&D teams to identify patentable inventions and draft claims.
- Represent clients in patent opposition and infringement proceedings.
- Stay updated on changes in IP laws and regulations in Singapore and key jurisdictions.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Patent Attorney in Singapore or a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Australia, UK, or US).
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or computer science).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in patent prosecution and IP strategy.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's IP laws and international patent systems (PCT, Paris Convention).
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
- Self-motivated with the discipline to work remotely while maintaining high productivity.
