Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the development of new pastry items and seasonal menus.
- Ensure all pastry products are consistently high in quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain adequate stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry arts, and dessert preparation.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in culinary arts or pastry-making is a plus.
