Responsibility
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the development of new pastry menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
- Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients, maintaining cost control and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless service and consistency in dessert presentation.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and tools used in the pastry section, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest pastry trends and techniques.
- Uphold the restaurant's high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the pastry kitchen.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of French pastry techniques and modern dessert trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in pastry arts.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
